IT’S A SMALL WORLD

Occasionally incidents make us aware of the way in which we are all interconnected on this globe we call the Earth. Actions, large and small, taken in one place will have effects that we often don’t anticipate. Global warming is perhaps the most ominous example.

Other times, we see the connections and they give us a “feel good” sense of belonging to the larger community of mankind. Recently I snapped this shot. A citizen of Dixcove was walking the road which connects his village to our village of Busua. He was happy to have something to keep the hot sun off his head, and I was happy to enjoy a connection to my home province of Saskatchewan.
